Nicole is an award-winning British-Czech director who combines a cinematic visual eye with heartfelt, nuanced performances. She is particularly passionate about stories where the personal meets the political, and exploring themes of psychology and philosophy.
She has over 20 years experience in the industry, having started out as an Intern on Love Actually, then assisting feature film directors such as Michael Caton Jones and Stephen Poliakoff. Life recently came beautifully full circle when she directed Bill Nighy in HARLAN COBEN'S LAZARUS.
Other actors she has worked with are Sam Claflin (Daisy Jones and the Six), Zoe Wanamaker (Harry Potter), Adrian Edmondson (Alien: Earth), Tom Burke (Furiosa), and Parminder Nagra (Bend It Like Beckham).
Rakie Ayola won Best Actress at the BAFTA CYMRU Awards 2023 for The Pact, for which Nicole was the Lead Director.
Nicole holds an MA in Filmmaking from The London Film School (Directing Specialisation) and prior to that studied Philosophy and Psychology at The University of Sheffield. As a child, she trained in drama, dance and music and performed in the West End.
